A skilled Danish Engineer needed to find a solution to help the family cope with the need to turn their bedridden daughter every couple of hours to reduce the problem of pressure sores. Thus the Vendlet equipment was designed and with the use of handles the patient was able to be turned on a regular basis with only one helper where before they needed 3 or 4....
Today this equipment is electrically operated and is an essential tool for the prevention of back injuries when handling patients in Nursing Homes, Hospitals as well as in Private Homes.
This year we introduced a model that could turn Patients of 350kg and a smaller version for turning surgical patients (from suprine to a prone position).
